Artwork Description:
Sleeping Fishes depicts a woman hawking her raw fishes, carefully placed on her head with a baby gently tied behind her back for protection and an older one tagging alone with a juicy ice cream to calm her.
This is an illustration of how multi tasking women can be in aiding the family. It is a norm for this gender to manage several duties and still come out stronger.
The numerous lines across in the painting suggest her numerous huddles each passing day, sometimes, it is unimaginable how they survive.
