Ejire is the celebration of twins. The Yoruba's believe they bring fortunes to the family and community. They are revered as a deity, that answers to the wishes of any couple who desire to have them or be blessed with an offspring.
Artist Bio:
Gbenga Ajiboye had his early education at Government Secondary School, Omu Aran, Kwara State. In 1989 he got admitted into Obafemi Awolowo University where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art (Painting Major) in the year 1994. His first solo exhibition was at Wogerum Hall, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1995. In 1996 he had a 2 man joint exhibition at the National Museum Onikan, Lagos.
