Artist Bio
Omidiran Paul Gbolade, an artist born in Lagos, has made a remarkable mark in the art world. He honed his skills at Obafemi Awolowo University, earning degrees in Fine Arts. His art has
been showcased globally, from the US to China, reflecting a fusion of Mixed Media painting and Graphic design. Recognized by esteemed art institutions worldwide, including the Art Institute of Chicago and galleries in Germany and China, Gbolade’s work has earned him numerous awards. He’s also a mentor, running his Omidiran African Arts Gallery and studio, where he has trained over a hundred students. His passion lies in African themes, influencing his diverse art
materials—ranging from oil and acrylic to unconventional elements like cow dung and seeds. Married to a lawyer and based in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Gbolade continues to innovate while nurturing budding artists
