As a changeable part of the human body, hair has been modified for esthetic. Hairstyle have symbolised one's age, tribal affiations, ethnicity, religion, social status, marital status and more, it also define and reclaim cultural groups and their identities.

Artist Bio

Nurudeen abubakar, born 1988 in lagos, hail from Esa oke in osun state. He attends ayangburen primary school and united senior high school ikorodu lagos. (2007). He studied painting and general art in LAGOS states polytechnic and yaba college of technology, respectively, He has trained in many studio including jonix art studio lagos. He work for the famous bakers in Nigeria tosan jemide of cake by tosan, as an artist that paint and mould figurine on the cake for him for 2 years, He is a member of society of Nigeria artist lagos state chapter. He has pacitipate in numerous exhibition in Nigeria and has his solo exhibition at Alliance francaise yaba lagos (2013) His work can be found both private and public collection in Nigeria and abroad. Nurudeen has executed several mural paintings in LAGOS and it environs, and also coordinated many workshops and seminars for orphanage home and rehabilitation centers. He has also made his art as a therapy, using it to coordinate hands and brains of the less privileged.
