Artist Bio
<p>Ayoola hailed from the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun State. He <br>Obtained B.A and MFA in Fine Arts from Obafemi Awolowo <br>University, Ile-Ife in 2006 and 2014 respectively. He proceeded <br>to bag Post Graduate Diploma in Education in 2020 from <br>National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna and Teachers’ Registration <br>Council of Nigeria (TRCN) in 2021. Ayoola, who combined <br>art practice with teaching, had taught Creative/Visual Arts in <br>several Secondary Schools in Nigeria for several years. <br>He had participated in several art exhibitions some <br>which include ECHOES, an Annual Juried Exhibition <br>organised by the Society of Nigerian Artists, Abuja Chapter <br>(2023), REDISCOVERING ARTS: A SUSTAINABLE <br>PERSPECTIVE organised by Embassy of Spain, Abuja (2022), <br>60x60x60 Art Exhibition organised by Department of Fine and <br>Applied Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University in commemoration <br>of 60th year anniversary of the institution’s establishment <br>(2021), Celebrating Womanhood an Art Exhibition organised <br>by Nigeria Health Watch (2021), and Badagry Festival <br>Art Exhibition organised by Society of Badagry Artists in <br>collaboration with September Studio and Gallery, Badagry, <br>Lagos State, Nigeria (2013). Ayoola is a finalist/winner at Safe <br>4 Press Art Competition, organised by Society of Nigerian <br>Artists, Abuja and Cartoonists <br>Association of Nigeria (CARTAN), <br>2023. And a second prize winner at <br>Sports and Culture Art Competition <br>organized by National Council for <br>Arts and Culture in 2021.<br> His art practice is often inspired <br>by African philosophies, culture, <br>aesthetics and entertainment, <br>with styles ranging from realism <br>to abstract/stylization. Some of <br>his choicest art materials include <br>oil, acrylic and at times, mixed <br>media. Ayoola’s figure painting and <br>composition are dramatic with focus <br>on African tradition, culture, identity <br>and entertainment, while landscape, <br>composition, and abstract are some <br>of his other painting genres.
