Artist Bio
<p>Born in Osun State, Nigeria, Pelumi Ponmile is an outstanding and talented young Nigerian emerging artist. He lives and works in Lagos. He graduated with a Bachelor in Art Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a Master degree programme in Fine Arts (MFA Painting) in the same institution. His love for colors did not permit him to just stare at them, he had to learn to expertly mix them, and for years he carefully mastered the art of creativity, and training under some of the country’s finest art tutors.</p> <p>His art bears the theme of hope to humans in every kind of circumstance. He gets inspiration from what he sees in his immediate environment to which he communicates back using art. Every short breath between speeches, every word held back, every thought fighting for description and every heavenly message all find their expressions through his brushes that drip<br>oil and acrylic paints, or at other times, through his fingers that connect fabrics (AsoOke) His art is jeered towards evoking deep creative thinking and has deep spiritual interpretations that has the capacity to impact and lighten the souls of Men. His works are in reputable collections both home and abroad. He has participated in several group exhibitions and won several awards in competitions.</p>
