Artwork Description:
The work shows a stylized head of a chef carrying a bowl with Nigeria in it. While you cannot actually serve Nigeria in a bowl, it talks about a person that have put in years of service to the nation in question. The work was done in honor of Dora Akunyili to appreciate the years of service she put in for the nation. The Calabash which is a traditional bowl used in Nigeria. It comes with the inscription of Hula Motifs which is a signature style of the artist. The work was done in 2015. The stylized head is equally original to Ayoola Mudasiru.
Artist Bio:
Ayoola Mudasiru is a graduate of Fine Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University majoring in painting. The originator of HULA MOTIFS (Hulaism) and special stylized. He has been in active painting since graduation with several group a solo exhibitions to his credit. He works at Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture He's married to Josie Mudasiru a playwright
